Privacy
We store as little as we can. There are no accounts and no advertising. This page lists exactly what is stored and for how long.
What is stored
| What | Why | Where | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| A random device id | So your scores stay yours on the board. It is not linked to you in any other way. | On your phone, and a scrambled copy on our server | Until you clear your browser data |
| Your three initials | To show on the board | Our server | Until you change them |
| Each ranked game: its seed, your taps as a list of ticks and directions, the score, the load, the timing of the messages your phone sent, and the server’s verdict | To check the score by replaying the game, and to review a suspicious game | Our server | Until we clear old games; there is no automatic deletion yet, and this line will change when there is |
| Your device’s top five scores and your sound setting | The on-device scores on the title card | On your phone only | Until you clear your browser data |
| A scrambled form of your network address | To stop floods of requests. The address itself is never stored. | Our server | At most two hours |
| Counts of games started, finished, checked and rejected | To see whether the game works | Our server | Indefinitely, with no link to a person or device |
What is not stored

- No location, no contacts, no cookies for advertising, no third-party trackers.
Who can see it
The board shows initials, scores, loads and times. Game logs are seen only by Suds Buds staff reviewing a game. Our servers are run by Vercel and the database by Supabase, both in the United States.
Children
The game stores no personal information, so there is nothing to collect from anyone. When sign-up arrives it will be for players 13 and older.
